Are your candles made from ants?
No, our candles are not made from ants. They’re also not made by ants or for ants. C’mon, we’d never hurt those little guys or use them for cheap labor.
What is the price of your candles?
ANNT Candle Company prices are about 40-50% less than retail stores when you buy in bulk from us. The suggested retail price in stores for natural soy/palm tea lights (6 hour burn time) is about $0.70 per tea light. The suggested retail price in stores for natural soy/palm votives is about $1.35 per votive (15 hour burn time).
Are your candles unscented?
No. There is a slight palm scent.
Why do you use palm instead of soy or beeswax?
Palm is a renewable resource. Palm oil is derived from the fruit of the oil palm tree. One of many types of palm trees, the oil palm is the most efficient oil-producing plant in the world, yielding 4 to 10 times more oil per acre than rapeseed or soy. This means that you can get a lot more oil out of a lot less land when you're growing palm trees, allowing more land elsewhere to be preserved. Palm is grown in tropical regions where rainfall is abundant, necessitating less irrigation than most crops. And instead of being an annual crop that needs to be mowed down every year (causing topsoil erosion), it’s a non-GMO tree that lives for 25 years on a plantation and produces one ripe bunch of fruit each month to be harvested.
As much as we love soy and beeswax candles, they don’t have the same consistent burn time as palm wax. Beeswax has a very heavy wax honey smell when they burn. Soy wax gets greasy in warmer temperatures and is softer than palm. The softer wax can make it more difficult to manufacture larger candles like votives, pillars and toppers. Soy and beeswax candles are more expensive and we pass along those savings to you. The only negative to using palm based vegetable wax is that there is a slight palm scent. Soy is unscented.
Are your candles easy to clean?
Yes. Our left over candle wax is very easy to clean. If you’re using our votives in a glass jar, simply pop out the remaining wax and wash the jar with soap and water. No hassle no mess. Left over paraffin wax on the other hand is almost impossible to clean.
How long do your candles burn?
Our tea lights burn 5-7 hours and votives 16-18 hours. That's 35-50% longer than regular paraffin candles.

What is Paraffin?
It's made from the sludge waste left over when crude oil is refined into gasoline. Paraffin candles, including oil fuel cells, contain up to 11 carcinogenic compounds which have been deemed "toxic air contaminants" by the State of California. South Carolina University experts found that burning regular candle wax gives off harmful fumes linked to lung cancer and asthma. When paraffin burns it basically releases the same toxic cancerous fumes and black soot as a small diesel engine. The toxins get into your lungs, food, walls and clothes. Imagine running small diesel engine on your dinner table - yuck. ANNT Candle Company facilities are secure, compliant with all government regulations and inspected annually by the Department of National Defense. USA shipping is often handled by a warehouse in Ogdensburg, New York.
Do you sell to individuals?
Yes but minimum orders apply and are based on our typical box quantities. Example, tea lights have 300 per box and votives have 180 per box.
